Royal Empire™ didn’t start with a business plan, it started with a phone call.
I was on the road, talking with a friend while we were both working our truck routes. The topic? Dating in today’s world. I was telling her about the guy I was dealing with at the time, and how it felt like he was either too busy for me, playing games, or just giving me the runaround. And I said to her:
“OK, you know what, he’s about to make me tell him…focus on yourself, King.”
She laughed and shot back:
“No, focus on yourself, Queen.”
That’s when it hit me. I told her right then: “Both of those need to be on a T-shirt.”
And just like that, the first designs were born, the Focus On Yourself King and Focus On Yourself Queen tees.
